New baby Born In UK for parents dtier 2 visa

Post by indianOntier2General » Tue Mar 21, 2017 4:25 pm

hi, I am in UK on a tier 2 general visa (5 year) and we have been blessed with a baby.

I think the below link is the one to apply for the visa of my baby-
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... dant-child

I started filling all the information in this link but the problem is that at the end of the form its asks a declaration to check one of the below-
-I am the applicant
-I am a representative of the applicant and have been authorised to act on their behalf and have discussed and confirmed the contents of this application with them.

now because my child is an infant I don't think any of the above would apply.
Am I looking at the wrong form?Is there a separate form/link for adding a dependent(who is a new born in UK)?

Will really appreciate any inputs whatsoever on this regards

Hi,
We recently applied for our newborn and we selected "I am the applicant".
Also, the visa was granted.

thanks very much for the reply.it seems inappropriate though :)

Can you double check the link I posted to confirm if thats the correct one please.
the reason being it also asks the NI number/BRP of the applicant(which I have kept blank, hope thats correct).

I just don't want to go via consultancy and shed a good amount f money to apply the visa for the baby.

Post by indianOntier2General » Sun Mar 26, 2017 7:30 pm

HI Everyone,
I have just now applied for PBS dependent for my child who is burn in UK.
I am here on a Tier 2 general visa (5 years).

AT the ned of the application the document checklist only asks for Baby's birth certificate, travle doc and photographs.

I does not ask for my visa etc, I am worried i have filled the form incorrectly.
Can anyone please help.
is it that it does not mention in the checklist but I still send my BRP etc via post?

See page 11 in link below. You only send what the checklists asks for.
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... y_2017.pdf

HO will have a record of your visa status and length of visa.

thanks very much for the quick response.
I am really obliged with all the help from this forum, but I am sure they would atleast require a maintenance later from my employer even that is not there in the checklist.

Do either of these two below apply to you??
You won’t need evidence of your savings if you have a:

* fully approved (‘A-rated’) sponsor
* certificate of sponsorship stating that your sponsor will give each of your dependants at least £630 to cover their costs for a month if they need it

Thanks much for the kind reply.
my Sponsor is xxxxxxxxxx so I think it should be a A rated sponsor.

But I have friends who had (similar case and)applied via consultants and they said they had maintenance letter/BRP in their document checklist and so I am worried that I have done some mistake while filling the form.

It was just weird for me to learn that the checklist had no mention of any of my docs.May be its already there in their system and I am just getting worried for nothing .

once again thanks very much for all your time and inputs.

Please don't name your employer on the forum, I have edited it out.

How did you meet the maintenance requirement for you and spouse?

HO obviously have your details on their system.

I cannot comment on the form as it is online and I don't have access to the online forms.

Apologies for posting the employer name ,I am new to the forum.

Yes our employer had issued A COS which mentioned it will take care of the funds .But that was a year back when we applied.
I thought that with the baby I would need another maintenance letter from employer as it would mean an additional dependent.
And also I was not aware that the system would be so intuitive that it would not ask for copies of my visa/passport as it would already be there in the system.Just that from all the references I had , everyone had sent their visa as part of visa application.

Thanks again for all your replies , much appreciate your help.
