Naturalisation help..

Post by sameer0778866 » Sun Apr 02, 2017 12:54 pm

Hi everyone,
I have reached the time when im going to apply for my naturalisation application and before i do that i have a few questions to ask..

1- i got my ilr last year and i provided my pearson certificate to prove my english. As that certificate is now expired do i need to take another test to go with my application or as i have succesfully proved my english in my previous ilr application i dont have to do so ?

2- do i need to provide wage slips for the past 10 years of my employment or the recent ones would be enough as i have read rules for this are different for eea citizen and for the rest as i have got my ilr on 10 years residency basis and have been on tier 4 through out this duration.
3- can my friend who holds a british passport and works for a professionAl accounting firm in the uk be my proffesionL refree ? And also for the second refree can it be any british passport holder who has known me in the past ?

Please if Nyone could help answer these questions i would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Tick the box that says you met the requirement for ILR after October 2013.
2- do i need to provide wage slips for the past 10 years of my employment or the recent ones would be enough as i have read rules for this are different for eea citizen and for the rest as i have got my ilr on 10 years residency basis and have been on tier 4 through out this duration.
You need to list your employment for 10 years. P60's should be sufficient for the qualifying 5 years prior to application.
3- can my friend who holds a british passport and works for a professionAl accounting firm in the uk be my proffesionL refree ? And also for the second refree can it be any british passport holder who has known me in the past ?

Is he a qualified accountant?? Yes to your second question provided your friend is over 25 and of good character.

Hi ,
Thank you for such a quick response. Yes he works for earnest and young. So i think he should be fine . Also regarding the p60 i have only worked after i got my ilr before that for the last 5 years i did not work .. I have got the recent wage slips from the last 2 jobs i have been at after my ilr. I can attack those if needed would that be enough ?

Thanks

Yes he works for earnest and young.
Just working for an Accountant firm does not make him an accountant. He must be a qualified accountant and be a registered member of the relevant governing body.

Hi ,
Also what should i write in question 1.23 ( asking me to provide details about my english test ) as i had given pearson for my ilr and it is not mentioned in the options given on the form ?

Secondly my professional refree has only been here for 2 years .. previously he was in some other country but is a british passport holder .. Does he need to be in this country for 3 years to be my refree ? I have known him since school as we have been close friends since then ..

Would really appreciate a response .. Thanks

No there is no requirement that he must have lived here for 3 years but he MUST have known you for 3 years.

Thank you croo1 for ur continous quick replies to my continously repeated questions :) i booked my appointment today for jcap through ncs. My only worry is about the english language requirement. As i do understand what ur saying and it also mentions on the AN form that i have met this requirement for ilr after october 2013 but i had sat for pearson english test which is now not on the approved list and also that it has expired march 2017 will that have Any implications when i go to the appointment ?
Sorry for asking the same question again.. Im just worried as i dont want home office to delay my case just because of this.
Thanks and will wait for some more assurance from you and everyone else who have been in a similar situation.

If you want to do another test that is on the approved list, you can and then submit it.

HO can ask for evidence and they do sometimes, so always better to be prepared.

When is your NCS appointment?

Hi croo1 ,
I just went on the gov.uk website and came across something. It clearly mentions " some recognised test qualifications only last for 2 years. You can still use a b1 level qualification that you took more then 2 years ago in 2 situations.

Applying for citizenship
' you can use a b1 level qualification thats run out if your applying for citizenship and it was accepted when hou settled in the uk.
" it does not matter if the b1 level test you took is not on the current list of recognised tests. You dont need to take another test"

I think i should be fine reading this it has given me alot of assurance :D and so have your words croo1. Maybe this will help other people too who are confused like me about their english test. Its always good to check the gov.uk website for infor i actually went on it to book my english test and was looking for approved test centers near me when i came across this :)

HI,

A quick question to everyone. Couple of years back lowell ( debt collectors ) contacted me about a phone contract which had not been paid off and as a result 'three' sold my account to them. I obviously was unaware of the issue until i received a letter from lowell asking me to clear the outstanding balance that had been bought forward against me by three with some charges on top. the amount was a mere £200 which i paid off completely. now the question is do i need to mention this on my application ? i have never had any other outstanding bills or owed any money apart from this one. A quick response would be of great help as i have my ncs appointment tomorow.

thanks

and also am i right in thinking that no ccj was bought against me by three if they had sold my account to lowell and i have paid them in full ? would lowell still be contacting me if the matter had been put forward to court ? a bit confused so please help ..

thanks

Hi sameer0778866.

I have had something similar happen to me. I believe when Three sells the account on to Lowell, it would be in a "Default" stage. If you settled the amount within a month, the Default status would be satisfied but the default would stay on your credit file for 6 years. Sign up with Noddle credit reference, its free and you can check your credit report, its not very good for credit scoring. This should tell you if you have any CCJ'S. If you have CCJ's you have to mention in on your application. If its only a default, I would not mention it as its not classed as a non custodial offence.
