Maintenance fund statements

Hello,

I was about to apply for my Tier 1 Extension next month and I will be falling short of the required balance for my maintenance funds for February month (as part of the 90 day statement).
Has anyone else been in the same situation of not making up for the maintenance balance?
Is it worth applying, getting a rejection and appealing with newer statements?

There are no appeal rights. You only get the option of Administrative Review and can't submit 'new' evidence for this. AR is for HO errors. If you are refused due to not meeting 90 days, how has HO made an error when the rules are clear?

Ok. Was not aware of the AR.
IS it possible to show the maintenance funds in a joint account?

Yes. You can show it in joint account. u will need to get a section in visa application form, signed by joint account holder.

Hi Riki_M,

How many days will your maintenance fee be short of by your application (posting) date?

I know of two people that had applied with 88/89 days and both were granted. Although these are exceptional cases.
