Extending after the course starts

Hello,

I'm currently on a tier 4 visa and I have been offered a place at another University for a different degree. Under the tier 4 rules it's unlikely I could extend my tier 4 visa (The subjects are very different) however as I'm married to a UK citizen I plan on applying for a spouse visa. Due to the financial requirements, I will only meet the total 6 months required for the savings in late September, but my course starts in mid September and my current visa expires in late October. I plan on contacting the school about this but my point of contact is currently unavailable. So I figured I'd ask here if anyone knows what the answer may be, is it possible to start a course whilst I'm waiting for a spouse visa to be processed?

You can apply for a spouse visa in person for a same day decision.

Your university will likely want to see evidence of your leave to remain before you can be enrolled or attend.

Yes, I plan on doing the single day option. However the savings don't meet the 6month minimum until after the course has started.

This is not a Tier 4 matter, so maybe a moderator can move to the Family visas board.
