Tier 2 Dependant visa about to start a job

Post by denizarzu » Fri Apr 07, 2017 11:52 am

Hi
I`m holding a T2 Dependanty visa and currently in the process of a job interview. i was asked to bring one of documents that matches the list in here weblink removed

Problem is ;
- I had my visa on Jan/2015 until March/2020 which was before BRP system was effective. It is a vignette stamped to my expired passport and I have a current passport which is valid until 2020. I show 2 of my passports when I enter to UK and there is no problem

-I do also have a NI number

-Given all above , employers(xxx) still asking for a BRP when I say my visa is in my old passport but it is still valid ! And there is no way of transferring it to a new passport. Gov.uk says that I need to apply to BRP via TOC route (Transfer of conditions). Problem with TOC is , it can take months. And there is premium service which costs a small fortune.

Anyway , my questions are below.would really appreciate if you can help

1)The link at weblink removed says that there a `List B- part 1` documents if I can`t provide `List A` documents and one of them is

4. A current immigration status document containing a photograph issued by the Home Office to the holder with an endorsement indicating that the named person may stay in the United Kingdom and is allowed to do the type of work in question, together with an official document giving the person’s permanent National Insurance Number and their name issued by a Government agency or previous employer.

Do you think can I provide my existing visa (in old passport) under (4).

2) If I go through ToC route , Will I need to pay immiagration health surcharge ? any idea ?

Thank you very much

Thank you vinny !

I have taken an appointment for ToC with premium service. Earliest they can provide is for May.

On the Employer Checking Service , there is an option like
Does this person have any one of the following?
an application for transferring a current visa into a new passport / Biometric Residence Permit (BRP)

Do you think provinding my appointment evidence can make me elligible for that option on Employer Checking Service ?

Thanks

Oops! Thanks, CR001. Yes. I must have been half-asleep at the time!
