Change of circumstances

Post by srsw » Fri Apr 07, 2017 10:29 pm

I have a couple of queries (text in blue) regarding change of circumstances.. can anyone suggest, pls?

What changes in circumstances does the UK Border Agency need to be informed of?
The applicant must inform the UK Border Agency of any changes to the following for either himself/herself or his/her dependants:
• personal details;
• criminal convictions;
• contact details;
representative details;
• dependants’ details.

I've used a solicitor for my initial Tier 2 visa application, but don't intend to use them again in the future for Tier 2 extension, etc. Do I need to use this form to say that they are no longer my representatives?

When not to use this form
This form should not be used to notify the UK Border Agency of additional dependants (for example, children born in the United Kingdom). A separate application form is available for this purpose on the UK Border Agency website.

Which separate form do they mean? I couldn't find anything specific on this, apart from new Tier 2 dependent visa process?

Some of the text I pasted above is from this guidance: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _04-14.pdf
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

If a child is born in the UK, I know I need to apply for their passport and then apply for Tier 2 dependent visa (especially, if I expect the child to leave and re-enter UK), however, got confused with the 'notify' wording and 'separate application form for this purpose'.

Is there a separate form just to 'notify' UKVI about new born child or do they mean 'notify us by applying for dependent visa using the application form'? Hope I'm making sense in explaining my query...

Excerpt:
This form should not be used to notify the UK Border Agency of additional dependants. A separate application form is available for this purpose on the UK Border Agency website.

No, you only need to APPLY for the dependent visa using the online form.
