What visa have you applied for? Mentioning A1 course indicates it is a spouse settlement visa. You have posted in the Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa sub forum, which would not be the correct place.rai75 wrote:Hi, my solicitor submitted my form to get my wife over from India (to come to the UK), she has passed her A1 course which was a requirement. My wife completed the online application form on 2nd March 2017 and we gave our india bank details on the form, but paid online with my debit card from UK (I was with her at the time in india), and my solicitor submitted the file from the UK on 17th March.
We received a refund from IMM Health on 22nd March 2017 into our india account though we had paid by my uk debit card - must be the fact that I had given the india bank details on the form so they put the refund amount into the india account, and on 10th April 2017 they took the refunded amount back (the exact amount that they had refunded).
I have not heard anything else from them no emails or calls.
Is this normal? why would they do a refund then take the money out again? Any help on this would be great.
thanks

I am not from India. I have already asked for the rate charged in ££'s.rai75 wrote:CR001 wrote:How much IHS fee did you pay (in ££ please)?
We paid 54,000 rupees - on 2nd March 2017
they refunded 38,900 rupees on 22nd March 2017
they took 38,900 on 10th April 2017
not sure why they have done this - do you know why
will my application still be ok?

I have merged your topic again from the 'general immigration' forum. Can you please stop starting new topics all over the forum and keep ALL your questions in THIS ONE.rai75 wrote:I am not sure if this is the correct place to create this question.
if not please advise where to create this
My wife applied for a spouse via to come to the UK.
We made online payment on 2nd March 2017.
Soilictor from the UK submitted my file on 17th March 2017 (from the UK).
On 22nd March 2017, we got a refund in ruppes (38,900.00) which is about £481
from IMM Health Surcharge.
On 10th April they took the refunded money back.
What does this mean can anyone tell me? Is my application still ok?
Will they refund anything again?
HO would usually only refund IHS to the card you paid with, not to another country bank account not linked to your UK card. The correct fee would be the £668 (taking into account exchange rate fluctuations).rai75 wrote:Sorry -
2nd March 2017 - I paid £668 (is 54,000)
22nd March 2017 - I got refund of £481 (is 38,900)
10th April 2017 - they get took £481 out of my account again. So now they have £668 from me.
I paid with a uk card but the refund they put in my india account (so i lost out a bit on the conversation from pound to rupees.
not sure what status my application is in - is this normal?
on the form we gave our india bank details - but when we tried to pay with india card it did not work. So I paid with my UK card. I thought as we gave india account details they put it back in there.CR001 wrote:HO would usually only refund IHS to the card you paid with, not to another country bank account not linked to your UK card. CR001 wrote:You only get a refund if the visa is refused.
What exactly does it say for the two transactions on your bank India statement??
CR001 wrote:A refund of IHS is only processed, to the card paid with usually, if the application is refused. There is no partial refund for a spouse visa.
