FLR(M)- Relationship proof

Post by FOCUS » Thu Apr 13, 2017 11:48 am

Hello Every one,

I have been trying to find the exact wordings on the policy guidance and in the immigration rules. But couldn't figure it out exactly. so members please help me with my question .

If a applicant already has entry clearance on tier1 and now changing to FLR(M), inorder to prove the relation with the spouse.Apart form marriage certificate , we need to provide Six items of correspondence addressed to main applicant and partner at the same address as evidence that they have been living together .

But the evidence provided should be from the Entry clearance of the applicant to till date or only 2 years from the time preceding the making of FLR(M) application ?

Please clear the doubt and direct me to the rules where it is mentioned .

Thanks alot

since your last grant of leave in this category, or
from the date you first started living together up to a maximum of two years

Thank you CR001,

If you know ,can you please direct me to the link where it has been mentioned that we only need to submit recent 2 years of proofs before applying the first FLR(M) , rather than from the entry clerance .

It will be very hepful, Thank you

Thank you very much CR001,

I have read the point that you quoted, but I dont understand the last line exactly and it confuses me or iam intrepreting it in wrong way , please guide me CR001 n also all the experinced members who have been gone through this route FLR(M) FIRST APPLICATION.

" or from the date you first started living together up to a maximum of two years. "

IF we consider the FLR(M) applying date is 10/01/2018

1- If date first started living together after marriage (Entry Clearance) is 20/12/2014 , so upto max 2 years is 20/12/2016 : is this correct ?
(or)
2- If application date is 10/01/2018, so upto max 2 years is 10/01/2016 : is this correct ?

This one - 2 years counting backwards from date of extension application.

Remember that there used to be a 2 year validity spouse visa category before ILR could be applied for and there are still some people on this older 2 year route who have not applied for ILR for various reasons.
