English Language requirement for Tier2 dependant extension

Hi,

Is there any change for English Language requirement for PBS dependants.
I couldn't find this in any guidance but had read in few articles about a new requirement of English language for dependants applying for residence after 2.5 years in UK.

Please can anyone clarify this?

Not required for PBS Dependents. ONLY required for dependents on settlement visas of migrants with ILR or BC.
