hi

i applied for JCAP NCS (MN1+PP) for my 2 children

both the children's MN1 fees has been deducted but only 1 passport fees has been deducted..

my timeline is as follows:

Method of application: JCAP NCS Kingston upon Hull: 09/03/2017
Date of receipt by HO: 10/03/2017
Date of debit of MN1 fees: 13/03/2017
Date of Issuance of biometric enrollment letter: 13/03/2017
Date of receipt of acknowledgement email: 14/03/2017
Date of receipt of biometric enrollment letter: 16/03/2017
Date of debit of passport fees: 17/03/2017 (ONLY 1 child fees deducted)
Date of enrolment of biometrics: 18/03/2017

anyone got a clue why the 2nd passport fee has not been deducted?

could it have been missed by the case worker??

Suggest be patient. Each application is processed individually, it could still be in the line to process payment.

just thought of asking as both children's application was submitted together..

i will update as the 2nd PP fee gets deducted..thanx

8th April and still the 2nd child's passport fee has not been deducted?

any clues why?

Worth phoning up the bank to see if there are any failed attempts (for e.g., they keyed in wrong card number or expiry date) to deduct the money.

There is no way to get an update before 6 months has passed and HO also won't inform with every check or step they do/take to let you know at what stage the application is. All you can do is wait.

I am still waitingfor both the children's MN1 (certificate) and (out of curiosity) called the Passport office.

To mention again, the 2nd child's passport fee has STILL not been deducted (as of today).

They took the barcode numbers which were given to us for each child at NCS.

After a long search, they found that the payment for my son has been taken and the application is awaiting for MN1 clearance.

They could NOT find any details for my daughter (and I am presuming the reason is b/c the passport fees has not been deducted yet). I would like to mention that the passport fee for my son has been deducted on 18th March and I have called the bank twice to ask if any payments have been declined (none).

Finally the forwarded my call to the head office and they tried searching for her again, no success.

I have told to contact the Home Office now.

Update:

I sent an email first to ukbanationalityenquiries@ukba.gsi.gov.uk on 24/04/2017 who sent an automated reply stating that if my query is not answered, then I should email:

FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk.

I sent an email to FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk the same day and got a reply back on 28/04/2017 stating:

Not clearly happy with their reply knowing that the passport office has already told me to get in touch with the Home Office as they don't have any details on their system regarding my daughter's passport application (ofcourse because the Home Office has not yet deducted her passport fee and only MN1 fee has been deducted), I decided to email both FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and ukbanationalityenquiries@ukba.gsi.gov.uk again on 28/04/2017 mentioning a detailed email as follows:

Hello,

I would be grateful if you can please look into the following matter on an urgent basis.

I applied for my (2) children’s MN1 and passport application through Hull City Council (NCS) on 9th March and both the applicant’s MN1 fees was deducted on 14th March but only one child’s passport fee was deducted on 18th March.

I have double checked with my bank and no payments have been declined.

Subsequently, on 26th April I called the passport office and they have informed that only my son’s passport fee has been deducted and they have been unable to find any records for my daughter’s passport application.

I have been asked by the Passport office to contact the Home Office in this regard as the application for MN1+Passport is with the Home Office and the passport office will not have any details about my daughter's application until the fee is deducted.

The details of my daughter are as follows:

Name: XXXX (DOB: XXXX Daughter)
Case reference number: XXXX
Home office reference: XXXX
Passport tracking code: XXXX (as given by NCS)

I will be happy if contacted with the details of my query on:

To add, I have already posted 3 letters (with a gap of 3 days each) to the Liverpool office also with my query in last 2 weeks.

This is really insane and probably the first case on this forum where a parents applies for his 2 children JCAP NCS (MN1) and on one end both MN1 fees are deducted the same day, but passport fees 2 months apart..
