Hi...have you experienced a long time to get your biometrics invitation letter?CR001 wrote:It can take a couple/few months.
That's quite a long time...I thought my case would be quite straightforward! I've been living here since 1979, I have studied here, I work here and both my daughters have British passports. I have an indefinite leave to remain.CR001 wrote:When I had to replace my daughters BRP a couple of years ago, it took about 5 months from date of applying to receiving the correct BRP (HO sent the wrong visa category with the first BRP they sent). We had to cancel a holiday to our home country due to this.
I believe there is a same day service for this now with BRP card sent to you within 7 days after your appointment but this costs an extra £591 on top of the application fee.
Hello any news yet?khalidalamoudy wrote:My situation is similar to yours

Hopefully it will get delivered with today's post.
I'm in desperate need of their Reference No./Case ID to start a new job.
Please advise.
Many thanks
You are welcome...I'm going to write to them on Monday.khalidalamoudy wrote:Good morning
Thank you very much for the information.
I received my acknowledgement letter on Friday in the post. Did my biometrics on Saturday. When will they send back my passport? The lady at the post office said the biometrics card could take up to 6 months before I receive it!khalidalamoudy wrote:Good evening,
Yes, I'm applying from ILR to BRP.
I have received the acknowledgment letter today afternoon by email.
I hope you have received yours too.
Good luck!
FANTASTIC!soleiljeje75 wrote:GOOD NEWS
I also received mine today by email
Thanks
My guess is that it may be complicated for them because they have probably destroyed their previous records on you concerning their grant of your ILR. They may also have the burden of proof, if they think that your ILR has lapsed.Nina Ballerina wrote:I applied for a BRP using the NTL postal application form. I have been here 27 years and have ILR and was only made aware of the BRP requirement when I went for a new job recently.
I did my biometrics in April and still waiting. I tried upgrading to the Priority Service but was rejected. Does anyone know why?
Nope mine 23rd Jan, nothing to report yet.chirengv wrote:Anyone have an update from 2017 applications. I submitted my application on 24th Jan 2017 and done my biometrics enrolment on 10 March 2017 but i have not heard anything since then. My application is to transfer my indefinite leave from old passport to biometrics. Any updates guys?
