Spouse visa

Post by Ykamali » Tue Apr 18, 2017 10:15 pm

Hi can someone please help me out. Iam a British citizen and I have a baby too. She is British as well. I work part time 18 hours a week and I am a healthcare practioner. I also receive work and child tax credit and child benefit. I also get help with housing benefit too. Will that effect my applications for spouse visa. I have been married in Bangladesh and I have my marriage certificate registered and translated I have never applied within for my husband as I am getting working tax credit.but now I will be doing full time job. I was also studying as well and aim to be a nurse but having my husband back home making things more difficult. So please help me out.

You need to prove that you earn a minimum of £18,600 per annum and submit 6 months payslips and 6 months bank statements to prove this.

You cannot use benefits towards the total required to meet the financial requirement.

You can claim benefits you are entitled to claim.

Is your husband in the UK already? Your post is not clear.

HO might question the genuineness of your 'work or home' as they are two different cities not easily commutable.

If you are getting housing benefit for the Birmingham property but don't live there full time, this is an issue you must sort out with the council.

So you earn £18,600pa working only 18 hours per week?
