Hi All,
My wife's Tier 1 (Dependent) Visa is coming up for renewal in June this year. She was initially granted 2.5 years (Tier 1 Dep visa) as I had 2.5 years remaining on my Tier 1 (general) VISA when she arrived in the UK. She was subsequently granted a 2-year extension. This means she is still 6 months short of the minimum 5 year period for an ILR application.
For context, I currently have an ILR and our 1-year old son has British Passport.
I am assuming that she will be able to apply for a 6 months extension and pay an NHS surcharge for 6 months? Is this possible? Or maybe a 1-year extension?
If the home office does not do 6-month/ 1-year extensions, does that mean she will have to apply for the normal 2-year extension and pay a 2-year health surcharge?
I would be grateful for any advice, and the best way on how to proceed. Many Thanks.
