Hi guys, I would be very grateful of any help anyone might have.
My partner is applying for British citizenship/passport he's had his indefinite leave for 5 years now he used a city a guildes B1 certificate that was excepted. He's been told he needs a new certificate under 2 years but I've read if it was excepted before in a past visa you don't need to do it again is this correct? As we don't want too waste money in putting the application in and it being rejected.
Many thanks in advance.

Did he get ILR before 28 October 2013? Clearly he did if he has had ILR for 5 years.
He needs to do a new test from one of the HO test providers as he was not required to prove English for his ILR if it was 5 years ago.

Hi there,
Need advice my partner is still technically married to ex who is a British citizen he's now applying for his 5 year British citizenship. Do we have to tick on the form he's married and put infoamtion about ex wife and provide her passport as we can't obtain this?
Many thanks

If still (legally) married then needs to declare as such, and provide all relevant (known) detail. He is not applying as a spouse if he's got PR. Current spouse passport number not required.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.
