Switching job in tier 2 general visa

Hi,
I am working on tier 2 general visa , visa is valid for another 2 years.
Can i switch my job in this visa?can i get a new COS from another employer ?
What is the procedure for this? can my current employer stop me from doing this?

What is the procedure for this? New sponsor must complete the full and proper RLMT process before they can issue you with a CoS.

can my current employer stop me from doing this? No they cannot and they will not know if you get a new CoS and I strongly suggest you DO NOT resign until you have a new sponsor and visa.
