Question on Qualification and English Language for ILR

Post by uktierone » Fri Apr 21, 2017 10:36 pm

Hi All

I am currently on Tier 1 (General) and due to apply for my ILR. I have a question in regards to the qualifications and English Language Requirement.

1. On my initial application and as well extension application I have submitted the Point Based Calculator and my Degree Certificates (Overseas Qualification from Non English Speaking Country) as an evidence to get points for my Qualification. This was accepted and was awarded the points.

Question : Knowing that PBS Calculator is no more applicable, do I need to get my Qualification assessed again through NARIC to get the points for my Qualification ?

2. On English Language Requirement

Question : I have B1 Certificate, will this suffix for my ILR application or have to get NARIC assessment done for this ?

Regards

B1 is sufficient provided it is from an HO approved test provider.

Thank you CR001 for prompt response.

Yes, I have B1 from Trinity College of London.

Also appreciate if you can help in confirming on my question raised in Point No.1 i.e.

Hi Zimba88

Thank you for your response and pointing to the FAQ's

Apologies if my query was not clear.

My question is more related for gaining points on Qualification for my ILR application.

I got points related to my Qualification in my earlier Tier -1 (General) application and extension referring to the Point Based Calculator, but as the calculator is no more available do I need to get my Qualification
re-assessed through NARIC so that I get the same points for my ILR application as I got in Tier 1 inital and extension applications ?

Appreciate your help in this.

Regards

Hi Zimba88

Thank you for the response.

I have gone through the FAQ's and specifically for Q3.

If I understand these are related to English Level Requirement for ILR, whereas as mentioned in my earlier posts in my situation I already have B1 Level (Trinity College of London) . So does this mean I will need to submit B1 for English Level Requirement and NARIC for getting points for my Qualification ?

Also to mention I already got points for this Qualification in my earlier applications referring to PBS Calculator.

Am I missing something ?

Regards

Then you should be able to rely on the Trinity College of London B1 certificate, as it was accepted previously
