Hi All
I am Neha and new to this forum. My husband got an offer in Belfast and we are planning to move it over there but before that I need some expert advise so would appreciate if experts can help me here
1. If all go well then we will move around September 2017 so would we eligible for ILR in 2022. I was going thru GOV.UK and other immigration website and according to them , Tier - 2 general VISA holder still eligible for ILR.
2. I can see VISA duration is 3 year or 5 year .. so is there any salary criteria for eligiblity 3 or 5 year. Also if suppose we get 5 year VISA then would we eligble of ILR after VISA duration.
3. Brexit election will commnence in June so will UK tier-2 VISA still valid in Belfast (Northern Ireland).
Apologies for long post but need advise despratley so we can make up our plans accordingly.
Regards
Neha

No need to 'bump' your thread after less than two hours, especially in the middle of the night in the western world we most of us were sleeping.

Yes, there are salary minimum salary requirements for Tier 2 General AND for ILR. Whether you can apply for a 3 or 5 year visa initially, depends on the length of the CoS the sponsor issues. You also have to pay the immigration health surcharge for each person applying. It is an HO approved sponsored right?? You will only be eligible for ILR after 5 years IF you meet ALL the standard requirements.
3. Brexit election will commnence in June so will UK tier-2 VISA still valid in Belfast (Northern Ireland). Brexit will affect EU migration.
Tier 2 General is not part of the EU migration rules but the UK Immigration rules. Northern Ireland is part of the UK.
