Tier 2 ICT migrant dependent visa

Post by AJ Singh » Mon Apr 24, 2017 5:12 pm

Hi,

I'm applying for dependent visa for my wife (moving her from Tier 2 ICT short term staff migrant to Tier 2 ICT long term staff migrant partner), applying with UK.

Regarding maintenance, my CoS reads "Tick to certify maintenance for migrant (and dependants, if applicable): Y". Do i need another letter from my sponsor explicitly mentioning that they will support my dependent? OR the tick mark in CoS is enough for it?

Apart from the ambiguity around maintenance funds, we are planning to submit the following. Can you please suggest if thats enough:

1. Application form
2. Travel document (Passport) and 2 passport photographs
3. Original marriage certificate along with 2 marriage photographs
4. Copy of my BRP & primary migrant’s BRP
5. Primary applicant’s copy of CoS
6. Proof of funds/maintenance requirements (in case the answer to my question in part is NO):
a. bank statement for last 3 months, stamped and signed
b. Primary migrant’s bank statement for last 3 month, stamped and signed
c. Declaration letter from primary migrant to support dependent expenses
7. Accommodation proof – Rental agreement

If she is applying for the dependent visa separately, you will need a maintenance letter from sponsor as well. Btw, if you are submitting bank statements with required funds, then the letter is not required.

Also, in such cases, UKVI expects you to provide proof of marriage subsistence. Apart from marriage photos, I would suggest prints of your recent communication while you were not together - chat logs, phone logs, email records and such - to submit as part of the documentation. Please search this forum for T2 dependent visa cases and you will find many such rejection cases due to this. UKVI has recently started more scrutiny of dependent applications, especially if they are applied separately.

Thank you for your response. Regarding proof of marriage subsistence, I would be submitting the original marriage certificate along with marriage photographs. You recommend i should submit chat logs, email logs etc. as proof.

Also, regarding IHS registration for her, do we need to pay IHS fee for her? I'm on ICT T2 long term visa. I understand i was exempted from IHS payment under this visa category. We would still need to pay for her?
