Post by mmali » Wed Apr 26, 2017 12:09 am

I applied for ILR (FLR-DL) on 07-04-2017.The HO deducted the fee on 10-04-2017 from my bank.I received my biometric fingerprint invitation letter on 20-04-2017.My question is how long will it takes to receive the decision ?

It will take as long as it needs to take, often many months. All you can do is wait.

Hi Everyone,
I would like to share my experience regarding my application for settlement.
I applied for ILR after 6 years discretionary leave using FLR (DL) which is for extension or ILR for failed asylum applicant on discreationary leave

07/04/2017 Applied by Post using FLR (DL) form
10/04/2017 Application Recived by Home Office
12/04/2017 £2297 fee was deducted from my Bank
20/04/2017 Biometric Fingerprint invitation letter recieved
24/04/2017 Biometric Fingerprint was given in my local post office
02/10/2017 ILR approval letter recieved
10/11/2017 BRP received

Overall it took very long , completely not happy with the Home Office service despite of granting me ILR.Because i paid huge amount of money ,but i got really poor service.
Anyway awaiting decision for that much long is really annoying.
Hope my the service get better in the future.

Congratulations @mmali, at least the wait is over. Next thing now is citizenship.

I'm applying for my ILR on 12 Dec using FLR(DL) based on 6 years DLR (expiring on 18 Dec), case should be straight forward I hope though I don't mind waiting for 6 months. I am hoping to include lots of documents even those not required such as employer's letter that I am a permanent employee, Life In The UK test, my degree in Civil Engineering, character references etc and of course all documents they ask such as national passport and BRP etc

congration bro
what documents you send with your application of ILR
did you send FLRDL when you had completed your 6 years or 28 days before your visa expiry

we are taking risk and apply through premium with Set O

Congratulations Dear.
One thing is confirmed now whether we choose SET O or FLDL form we have to pay the heavy fee so there is no exemption on any kind of Form so fee is Compulsory.

Thanks
When I applied for ILR using FLR(DL) I sent the following documents.
1- application form
2- My passport and 4 photographs
3- Tenancy agreement for every year
4- Council Tax Bill for every year
5-Utilty bills for every year
6- Copies of my children passport and birth certificate
7-My empolyment letter, .........everything from my job

that is all. Just remember that FLR(DL) IS USED BY FAILED ASYLUM FOR EXTENSION OF STAY OR ILR.I called the Home office to confirm the form first. They did not allow me to use Premium service.
Hope that help you.
