PASSPORT EXPIRY

Dear All,

I have application with home office and also my passport is with them which will expire in 30 days time.
I want to withdraw my application and apply for Tier 4 and my passport would have expired by then. What should I do about the passport as it will be expired when I apply for the Tier 4.
Do I have to make a new passport? or write to home office concerning this.

I am assuming that your current leave is Tier 2 or Tier 4, which are the only statuses that can make a Tier 4 application in the UK.

Do not withdraw. A new application will automatically vary the existing application. See paragraph 34BB(2) of the Immigration Rules.

and my passport would have expired by then. What should I do about the passport as it will be expired when I apply for the Tier 4. Do I have to make a new passport? or write to home office concerning this.

Confirm in the relevant question in your Tier 4 application that your passport is already with the Home Office. See paragraph 34(5)(b)(ii) and 34(5)(c)(i).
