Spouse Visa Question

Post by rai75 » Wed Apr 26, 2017 7:50 pm

My solicitor submitted the application form on 20th March, for my wife to come to the uk via the spouse visa from India.

How long does it take to get a response, someone said 90 days - would that be working days only?

What are the chances for them to contact us before the 90days?

Do they contact you by phone or email?

What are the chances of having no phone interview and a permanent visa?
We Submitted 400+ photos, detailed bank statements of money sent to india and money she been spending (we have an india account i send money to and she has been spending the money on the bank card in india from the india account). my salary is more than is required and we have a place to stay at my parents house in the UK. She has passed her A1 test to come to the UK and done medical. We have paid the required fees. We speak on the phone everyday and have records to show this. we chat on whatsapp and have screen shots printed

any help would be great

For a start, she won't get a 'permanent visa'. It is a 'temporary' visa. UKVI can take as long as they need to and if it will take longer than the published guidelines, they should write to you and let you know.

You will be notified by email when the decision is made and to collect passport. You will only know if the visa is granted once you collect the passport.

400+ photos is WAY too much and was not necessary.

Did you submit evidence and screenshots of your communications from before and after wedding or are you inferring UKVI can ask for them if they are needed?

Hi,

the 400 photos were scanned and printed on a4 paper - 16 photo per page - 8 per side (they were from wedding and after wedding).

solicitor sent communications from before wedding and after wedding (they did ask for them my solicitor sent them as part of the application form he submitted).

they have not been in touch yet, and it is nearly six weeks. Just wanted to know how long does it normally take for them to get in touch. Looks like I will just have to wait for the 12 weeks

would you know the email address the email would come from - i have been checking my junk mail just incase it went in there, but nothing there.

Very surprised you cannot tract your own application on a website
