Can We switch from Tier2 general to Student visa from UK

I am on Tier 2 general visa now planning to apply for student visa can I apply from with in Uk or do i need to go back to home country and apply

and also My husband is Tier 2 general dependant Can He apply for student visa with in UK

For you, yes you can switch if you get a CAS etc. Bear in mind that admissions are likely for September now.

For your husband, he would have to apply from home country for a Tier 4 main applicant visa if he can get a CAS etc.

Assuming that you are aiming to be on this route to complete 10 years residence at some point or to change to Tier 2 General again at some point.

Yes I will complete 10 years by Sep 2018 so checking all possible ways to get some valid visa to stay in uk and apply for ILR on 10 year sroute

For September when can I apply for the visa at the earliest as I am already in the UK?

You will need to first find a course you want to do / qualify for and contact a university to sponsor you.
