If his intentions r only to visit u and your family than he needs a sponsor letter.ravisb_2014 wrote:Hi All,
Hope everyone doing well.
One of my uncle wants to visit UK, but not sure about the procedure.
He is retired now and he has two sons and both working and settled in India.
Not sure if I can sponsor him.
Suppose, I can't sponsor then what is the procedure to apply for Visitor Visa individually and the chances of getting it. What all document does he need to show.
I know below documents from my research.
1. Bank statement.
2. Pension statement.
3. property statement.
4. Cover letter
5. Anything else, please comment.
Kindly advise please.
It's not only about the money. He needs to show he has strong financial ties in his home country. Like well running business, properties, if he is working than his salary slips, employer letter to confirm authorize leave.ravisb_2014 wrote:Thank You Route to ILR for your response.
It's mostly sightseeing and visiting different places in UK.
How much money do you think to show in his account - around £10k is fine ?
Is it necessary to have the amount in his account or fine to have in his son's account ?
could you list down document please.
Please don't give incorrect advise. There is NO requirement to have this level of money in a bank account for a visitor visa. Depending on how long he intends to visit, he needs sufficient to cover his expenses and spending money to maintain himself. If only coming for a couple of weeks £10K is likely sufficient.Route to ILR wrote:I think u under estimate my strong financial ties statement in previous post. In simple words he should have more than £100K in his bank account with proof from where he got this kind of money. if he is coming to the UK for sightseeing and visit historical places.
@CR001 I am not giving any wrong advice. Op's uncle is coming to visit Historical Places not to visit OP's and OP's doesn't want to sponsor him.CR001 wrote:Please don't give incorrect advise.
