Hi All,
I recently completed my spouse visa application for my husband, while visiting him in Cairo we registered our marriage to obtain a marriage certificate from Egypt, before doing so I declared at the British embassy that there is no reason I cannot marry and received a letter confirming so.
I have two daughters one being my husbands and the other being from a previous relationship that broke down very quickly. In my statement of support I Stated that I was not previously married However do have a child from a previous relationship and was not married to the father.
I am worried that the ECO when viewing our application may not believe I was not previously married and assume my marriage is not valid because of having a child outside of married which is not commonly heard of within my cultural and religious background. I mistakenly did not obtain proof such as a swearing in oath through a solicitor that I have not been previously married before actually getting married.
My application has everything asked of us and I feel the above reason could get us a refusal.....
Can anyone advice? or share their experiences? or advice is there anything I can do before sending of the evidence?
