Cooling Off period start date

Hi Everyone, If somebody can give me advice on this please. I have been working at NHS and resigned last year with my job ending on 31st October 2016. My original leave was till October 2017. I left UK on 8th Of November 2016 and never came back. I know cooling off period applies to my case but not sure about the exact date when it starts. I am Not sure for how long my original leave was valid and Even if was valid considering the fact that i left UK on 8th Of November does my cooling off period start from 8th or not. Please if somebody can tell me when can i apply to come back.
Does UKVI get curtailment notice to everybody and if they do what if somebody has already left? Will cooling off start date be different in that case.My sponsor said they dint inform UKVI about my employment end.

Starts on the date you left the UK, 8th November.

Curtailment letters are not sent if you have already left the UK and your visa would have been cancelled.
