Sending documents to Sheffield

Post by prolife » Fri Apr 07, 2017 12:09 am

The address of Sheffield to send supporting documents for spouse visa is PO box address. Can I send the packet by ''Royal Mail Signed For'' to a PO Box address? There won't be anyone to sign at receiving end. Shall I then use Royal Mail 1st class normal for a PO Box address?

Hi,

Royal Mail have a universal duty to send to every address within the UK. They will have someone there to sign. I also sent mine special delivery and was able to track it too.

Post office says that maximum weight allowed for A4 size documents is 750gm, but my packet to send to Sheffield PO box is 1.5 kg of A4 papers. How can I send this via Royal mail?

I looked at Parcelforce website and they don't deliver to PO box.

What did you do? I'm trying to find out what the current address is for sending documents as my package is also over the ordinary post limit?

I sent by Special delivery next day by 1pm. I bought my own envelopes from Tesco as Post office SD envelopes aren't that big..

What happens after sending documents to Sheffield?

Post by prolife » Sun Apr 30, 2017 12:30 pm

My wife is applying for Spouse via from Philippines. I (UK sponsor) sent supporting documents to Sheffield BEFORE biometrics appointment at VFS in Philippines.

1) Based on other's experience, when will I get supporting documents back from Sheffield? It's been 15 days since Sheffield received documents.

2) Does UKVI give any update on visa application processing?

1. Sheffield scan documents and return to you.

2. No they don't. You will have to wait.
