Working tax credit, child tax credit.. spouse visa

Post by walker » Mon May 01, 2017 7:05 pm

Hi all

I just have a query, my husband is hoping to make his spouse visa application in about 3 months or so. As part of the requirement I must show that I meet the financial requirement - £18,600. Which I understand.

However, I am receiving working tax credit, child tax credit and child benefit - will this affect my husband's application?

All help will be much appreciated.

If you are entitled to claim you can claim. You cannot add these benefits to meet the income requirement though.

Once your husband is here, you will have to claim tax credits in JOINT NAMES.
