Hello,
I am a British national and my wife is Cambodian. She was just refused visitor visa for her. Link to refusal letter below:

Apologies in advance for the long post.
We are a young couple and therefore don't have an showable assets or property in Cambodia and also live with her parents so no rental property. We stated on application that she is unemployed because the only work she does is informal for a family members business and therefore has no contract and doesn't receive payslips just some cash for work she has done. How can we show this in future without them thinking it is fabricated ? Are there any other ways to satisfy the strong family, social or economic ties to her home country? We provided proof from her bank of funds and wrote a covering letter saying where the money came from however they ask for independent evidence to show that it is the case. How can we prove that we received the cash as gifts from over 400 guests? I also addressed a letter from me saying that I wished my wife to accompany me on visit to the UK but they say that there are no documents to show any bookings or arrangements when they say on their website don't send any flight bookings etc. I see this as wrongful as they are clearly breaking the rules by using this as a factor to refuse.
Most of the other problems can be addressed easily. I have transferred all money into the account that I can show my name and UK address on. I can also send copies of visa that show I have been in Cambodia for about 7 months of the last year. However I am currently not working so don't know if this will affect me being sponsor? I can get a letter from my parents stating that we are allowed to stay at their home so no problem with that. The main problems are that I can't see any way to prove her funds are legitimately from wedding gifts and that I don't know how it can be provided that she has strong ties and reason to return.
Many thanks in advance for all advice and assistance,
Aaron
