60 day period of not doinf job on tier 2

Post by simplicity79 » Fri May 05, 2017 2:51 pm

1. Please if anybody can advise what is meant by 60 day period of not doing job on tier 2 and when does it start from? What I think it is like we can stay in uk without working while being on tier 2 for five years.

2. And if for example visa is valid from 1st May and you enter UK on 20th May would the clock of 60 day start from being out of country so my question is 20 days of not doing job are already counted or it would start to count once you enter uk.

3. Moreover as we are allowed to travel two weeks prior to start date do they count those 15 days as we have not worked for these days and will be part of that 60 days or these 14 days are exempted from being included in 60 day period.

You are confusing things that are completely different and not related.

The start of the qualifying period is different to the 'not working for 60 days'.

The not working for 60 days is if you have left your sponsor and DO NOT apply for a new sponsored Tier 2 General WITHIN 60 days of your last employment. This will affect ILR.
