Maternity Leave(India)_ ICT Tier 2 Longterm Dependent

Hi,

I am on ICT Tier 2 Long term Dependent Visa (3 Years) since Feb 2017 (earlier I was on ICT short term visa and then got a new ICT long term visa). I am also employed since June 2016. Currently I am on maternity leave(since April 2017). I have max of 1 year maternity leave. So I have few questions. Hope someone can provide me some clarifications.

1. What is maximum period I can stay in India during my maternity leave? I intended to stay for 7 months.
2. If there is rule that if I need to comeback within certain period. What is minimum period I need stay in UK and then can return to India without impacting my visa.
3.Am I eligible for Maternity Allowance if I am travelling to India for such long period
4. Though my employer will sponsor visa for my child I am planning to apply only after 7 months. Is this good idea?

There is no absence limit for PBS Dependents. You can return after 7 months without any issues.

Probably not but check with the relevant government department.

Whenever you are ready to return is fine. Child will likely only get a 30 day vignette anyway and need to get BRP card in the UK.
