Documents for New born UK Family visa

Hello,

Father is a British citizen (Born in India & settlement on HSMP) and mother is on UK spouse visa.Baby is born in India.What are the other documents required to submit for UK family visa in India? .How long does it take on priority settlement visa?.

We have finance, Baby;s birth certificate, family photos, and baby;s Indian passport.
There is no NHS surcharge for child and English certificate for new born.
Please share your experience if you were in similar situation.

If child was born AFTER the father became British, the child is automatically British by descent. Apply for CoE/RoA or passport directly.

Thanks for the reply. Baby is born after my British passport.

According to gov.uk ,British by descent cannot automatically pass citizenship to the child born outside the UK.
What are the documents and waiting time for COE/ROA?.

According to gov.uk ,British by descent cannot automatically pass citizenship to the child born outside the UK. Correct, so if your child has children outside the UK, your grandchildren won't be British. If your child has children IN the UK, then their children will be British automatically.
