travelling while naturalization approval letter is due

Post by vain » Mon May 22, 2017 2:41 pm

I applied for naturalization via JCAP, Westminster on 23 Feb 2017. I should be receiving an approval letter anytime now.

The problem is, I have had to come to India for a family emergency, and can not return for the next 3-4 weeks, at least.

What should I do?

What happens if I miss the approval letter? Do they also email?

Please Help!

No, they do not email. You get approval letter in the post by second class mail.

You must book your ceremony within 21 days of receiving the ceremony invitation letter though.

Thanks for answering. What happens if I miss the letter, and hence booking the ceremony?

Not sure, but if you don't attend ceremony within 90 days, council will send cert back and you have to apply again.

Suggest get someone to check your mail/post or shorten your travel.
