Hello,

Is it possible to book premium service for Tier 2 without completing the online application for visa?

No, you need to complete the form to get to that point in the process, as far as I aware.

Tier 2 and Travel

Post by Blattes » Wed May 24, 2017 6:45 pm

Hello everyone,

I do have this problem where I am planning to apply premium service for switching my visa to tier 2 next Monday which allows me to get a decision in one day, and I am planning to go back to my home country for two weeks sometime next week (I did not book anything) but I heard you can not travel without BRP (which will probably take aound 5-6 working days from the application day) and I also heard my visa on my passport will be only for a month (even though I will apply for 3 years). My question is, can I still travel to my home country for 2 weeks considering my visa on my passport is valid only for a month and then when I am in Uk, I can pick up my BRP? or do I have to wait for BRP and travel? My current Tier 4 visa expires 28/06 and I did not have BRP for this so it is a new thing to me. Thanks in advance.

This is ONLY relevant to applications made outside the UK. For applications within the UK you only get the BRP card and it can take up to 10 days sometimes longer.

BRP is delivered by courier.

You should wait for BRP before traveling.

Your student visa will be cancelled once Tier 2 is granted.

Thanks, I did not know that, I guess I will have to wait and see. Thank you again! :)
