Claid child and working tax credit effect my application?

Post by Sbjoe1234 » Thu May 25, 2017 12:29 pm

Hello,

I will renew my spouse visa on (LLR) on August. My husband will be the sponsor. He has a job which already reached the financial requirements now. He is British Citizen.

But, last year he had claimed the working tax credit. Until Sept, 2016, he stopped to claim since his salary higher. Also, we had a child so we have a child benefit. My son also resident here.

May I know if this will effect my leave to remain visa application? Some of lawyers said no effect, some of lawyers said will have little effect. Pls help. THanksssss.

Regards
Joe

Your husband is a British Citizen therefore entitled to claim benefits. When claiming from agencies they will take into consideration your family situation. For as long as you have not claimed under your name you should be fine.
