I paid £1419.27 for the application fee. I'm so confused as to what I've done. I just wanna start over, is that even a thing?CR001 wrote:The difference in fee is a lot more than 'slightly less'.
What is the fee you were charged (in ££)? You should have been charged £1464 visa fee.

Oh okayy. Thanks for that, I've been so baffled all day as to what on earth I have done. In terms of a solution then, what are the next steps to take in order to rectify what I've done? Can I get that money back or should I just consider that gone? How do I go about cancelling this application and starting a new one for the correct visa type?CR001 wrote:It should be :

You appear to have applied for a fiance visa, which is only valid for 6 months and does not require IHS to be paid but is the same price as a spouse visa.
CR001 wrote:Yes you will need to cancel it and request a refund and make a new application.
CR001 wrote:Refunds can take a while so be prepared.
If you cancel, suggest wait a few days and then make a new online application and you will have to pay again plus the IHS.
CR001 wrote:To be honest, I am not sure if you get a notification, I am sure you do though. You can then reapply.
Suggest before you click submit on the new application, check with us on the forum again to be doubly sure.
