entrepreneur extension pending since long time

Dear all experience forum Moderator/ member.
I am having some difficulty about extension. my extension i am nearly waiting since 1 year. i am not getting any response after interview. i did my interview August/2016. I was bit satisfy about the interview.
Below is my question
please help me with your experience:

1 I applied one day after expire my visa expire. The Reason of one day late is my wife was pregnant and delivery due date was visa expire week. so I can not gather all the document to send the application on time.
2. After end my wife maternity leave she was trying to go back her work but employer did not allow her to join. How can she start work?

3 My team member reach his 10 years long residency and he intended to apply for ILR.
Can my team member apply for ILR

4 I need another 5 months to reach 10 years for ILR. if anything does not come whiten this time.
Can i apply for ILR as well.
or if refuse what i have to do.
I am really wondering about the terrible situation. After submit the application i am doing continue the same business.

I need your help to get advise.

As also advised in the link posted above, you have been an overstayer and cannot apply for long residence ILR as you do NOT have 10 year lawful residence. Your 10 year residence period clock stopped the day your visa expired as you have no section 3C. Your extension must succeed first before you get to be eligible for ILR application
