FLR (HRO) Timelines?

Post by smogmag » Fri Jun 02, 2017 9:37 am

Dear Friend/Admin
I have read the extensive posts on the thread called 'FLR(M)', but don't seem to be able to find anything about FLR(HRO)?

I am a UK born, British citizen. My wife is Thai. We have 2 British born children (aged 11 & 6). Her first visa was LLR for 3 years (issued Nov 2010). She had no restrictions imposed upon her. We re-applied in Nov 2013. Although the whole process took over 4 months the cheque for the fees was cashed within 3 weeks. We received an immediate acknowledgement and had regular contact being required to produce further documentation. In Mar 2014 my wife was granted a further 3 years LR, again with no restrictions on working etc. Then:

Application posted: 16 Mar 2017
Application received (special delivery): 17 Mar 2017.
Payment taken: No
Confirmation letter written: 3 Apr 2017
Confirmation letter received by me: 6 Apr 2017
Biometrics taken: 20 Apr 2017
Additional documents requested - No
Additional documents sent - 2 recorded delivery letters asking for progress report (5 Apr & 5 May) - no replies received.

I made a small mistake with the Biometrics and nearly missed the deadline date but thankfully we got them done with 3 days to spare (deadline was 15 working days from date of confirmation letter = 3 Apr to 26 Apr. Biometrics taken on 20 Apr). Aside from that the application should be straightforward.

Would you have any advice on time-frames please, especially bearing in mind that the fees have not yet been taken from our account? I see in some other posts that a figure of 12 weeks is often mentioned?

I hope I haven't infringed any rules here? If I inadvertently have, please excuse me. I have searched for relevant topics but without success. As with so many others, my poor wife is anxious an fretful.

Regards & thank you in anticipation.

Steve
