Apart from the payslips and bank statement that seagull mentioned, you will also need a letter from her employer stating that the work is permanent and full time. Additionally, the GBP 18,600 figure is only considering you don't have any children. Otherwise, it increases the minimum income threshold.billmark wrote:Hello
My wife has been unemployed for over 2 years and she is starting a job next week with an annual salary of around 20k which I believe will allow her to sponsor my spouse visa. How long should we wait before we can apply for my visa? and will a pay slip be enough to include as a proof of income?
Many thanks
Bill
Only applicable if the child is non-British.pixelrage09 wrote:Additionally, the GBP 18,600 figure is only considering you don't have any children. Otherwise, it increases the minimum income threshold.
The 6 months payslips + the corresponding bank statements are mandatory and the application will fail without these.billmark wrote:Thank you for replying. My wife is British and so is my daughter. She has just started her job and she makes about 20k a year. The employer is willing to give her a letter confirming that the job is full time. My question is is there anyway to speed up the application and apply before 6 months? Or do I have to wait for full 6 months before we can apply?
