Beware of fake immigration Agencies

Post by AdaobiN » Tue Jun 06, 2017 5:05 am

A friend of mine and I used the same immigration agency in London Victoria and it ended up in a night mare. First my friend and his family first got their HSMP in 2008 but could not go for ILR until last year. when they were due to apply last year they used XXXXXXXXX in London, the agent requested for numerous documents which was provided to them. My friend had two sources of income, employment about 30k and self employment business. Then whilst the immigration agency was completing the application form, at the section when asked what immigration rule was applied, the agency selected the rule that came in place after 2010. Meanwhile my friend got his HSMP in 2008 and hence belongs to the rule that came in place before 2010. the rule in place by 2008 require minimum earning(income) of £26k while the rule in place after 2010 require minimum earnings of £35k. HO then made a decision to deny my friend and his family of the ILR application because they were not convinced the self employment was genuine. My friend and his family had already been stopped from work since they made their application. They have been facing terrible times since then because of the mistake made by the immigration agency. It is now established that the XXXXXXX'XXX are not Lawyers and hence not very experienced in dealing with complex immigration issues. My friends and his family have been told by HO to leave the country immediately. However, they have managed to secure a JR which is still on going. I will give more information later. To be continue
