Wifes Status Application

Post by zubbshah » Wed Jun 07, 2017 12:44 pm

Hello Guys,

i have a friend who submitted for his ILR on June 2016 under tier 1 general migrant along with his wife's visas.

He didnt get any update from home office till about feb 2017, in the mean time he finished 10 years in the country and he changed his visa application from tier 1 general to 10 year long route. (only his and not his wifes application)

He submitted his application and got an acknowledgement from HO however last week he got another letter from HO asking about this wifes application and the letter states the following :-

This letter is in his wifes name

" its noted that your sponser Mr. XXX (his husband) has varied their indefinite leave to remain tier 1 general to indefinite leave to remain , Long Residency.

If you have also submitted a new application please provide evidence to show this.

Please note that if no reply has been recd by 15th June 2017 your indef leave to remain tier 1 dependant application will be considered.

So guys in here, in here can you please suggest under which category should he apply for his wifes dependant visas. ?

his wife came to uk in May 2012 and tier 1 general dependant visas, she got her extension in June 2013 and till his expiry which was June 2016

so now should he also switch his wifes status from tier 1 general dependant to long residency ?

can you suggest which dependancy visas would she qualify for ?

much oblidged

1. Suggest ask your 'friend' to register on the forum and ask their own questions.

2. Wife only has one option and that is to apply on FLR(M) which will reset the clock to zero and a new 5 year (2 x 2.5 year visas) before she can apply for ILR. IHS fee and visa fee payable for FLR(M).
