Tier 2 ILR - Self Assesment

Post by karams1234 » Wed Jun 07, 2017 6:41 pm

Hello, i am applying for ILR soon, i am in Tier 2 General Category and i have all my P60 for every year, but in 2016/2017 Self assessment i made a mistake in figures and which i only noticed after getting my P60. I got those figures via phone when i spoke to HMRC people.

Because of that i claimed some tax but i am amending it now. I just wanted to know will this cause any issues in my ILR application ?

Will they check my Self assessment if am in Tier 2 General ?

Just curious why you had self assessments if you were on Tier 2 General and have P60's??

i do not have to submit self assessment , But i usually do my self assessment every year because my company pay bit more tax so. before applying i dont have to submit Self Assessment but i am not sure will Immigration officer check during my application and my amendment will make any concerns.

Ok in simple terms my self assesment 2106/2017 i made an error in filling due to which i claimed some tax refund. But then after i got my P60 from company i amended it and HMRC will get the tax i owe in the following year. So i am concerned will it cause any trouble in my ILR application though i am Tier 2 General i do not have to submit Self Assessment but not sure will Immigration officers check for the self assessments
