Voting and Naturalisation Application

Post by ashv256 » Thu Jun 08, 2017 12:41 pm

I am a Non- British Citizen UK Resident with indefinite leave to remain and will be applying for naturalisation soon.

My question is about voting. I am on the electoral register but will not be able to vote for the 2017 general elections today.

Will not voting have any effect on my application for naturalisation?

No it won't. If you are a citizen of a commonwealth country, then you can vote though, but voting is not compulsory.
