49 yr old UK guy , can i work in australia

my mates both 28 & 30 are away to australia, got visa no problem .

i am a UK & irish passport holder.

i have many job skills & certification for skilled work.

i am 49 near 50 now.

can i get work in AUS. ?
can an employer / company sponsor me ?

if i go over on a holiday , can i look for work and work ?

You cannot work in Australia as a tourist.

You will need to find a sponsor and check if you have a skill on the shortageskills list. Your age could be well against you too.

They have recently withdrawn the 457 work visa and taken many of the skill jobs off the list.

You're also too old for a working holiday visa (must be under 30 years old). Like CR001 you should review the various visas -

No you are not eligible for work during tourist visa. But you can apply for work visa till age of 59 years. Because some companies want experienced workers.
