Property inspection report for spouse visa

Hi there

Can someone please clarify does the property inspection report need to be done by a RICS surveyor or an ordinary estate agency can also do it for UK spouse visa purposes?

Hi

A property inspection is not a mandatory requirement. I did not include one in my wife's recent spouse application.

You can send in Land Registry/Tenancy Agreement with Utility bills (Gas, Electric) and Council Tax Bill.

Where a "property inspection" may be required required is where you have accommodation in a HMO.

Is this your own place, are you renting/sharing with others?

It is a rented property but not shared.

If only rented by you, then property inspection report is not required. Do you have a letter from your landlord stating your spouse will be permitted to live there?

Thanks. I have not got a letter from landlord. I rented it through an agency. shall I ask them to provide such a letter?

Perhaps you could contact the agency and request the letter/permission from the landlord.
