Does undergraduate course allow dependent

Post by Jyothi2017 » Fri Jun 23, 2017 11:26 am

Hello all,
First of all thank you so much for reading my post. This is Jo from India, writing my first post...I am planning to study in UK for Sep 2017 or Jan 2018.

(1) I have a 4-yr-old son whom I want to take with me as a dependent. I found that only if I do a graduate course or a course at level 7 or above then can I take a dependent, is it true..?

2) Does anybody know any universities or colleges in UK that would allow dependents while doing undergraduate course.

(3) Is it possible for me to start the undergraduate course first and then later on, maybe a month or so, apply for a dependent visa for my son..?..will that be approved.?

(4) Also my son is autistic, is there any special concession on visa law for disabled..?

(5) If I take a visitor visa for my son, can I apply to extend it for another six months..?

Appreciate your input, thank you so much for your time.

An undergraduate can only have a Tier 4 dependant child with them if (a) they are a government-funded student, and (b) the other parent is coming too, or already here. There are no exceptions to (a). The only exceptions to (b) are if the other parent is deceased, or if they have no role in the child's life, or if there are other compelling family circumstances.

No.
