Tier 2 ( Dependant) finding own sponsor and COS

Post by Globalmind » Fri Jun 23, 2017 11:02 pm

Dear Immigration Board community,

If as a Tier 2 ( Dependant) I obtain a new job offer with a sponsor, I have the following questions:

1.- By reapplying for the new tier 2 ( this time as the main applicant) I will need to change my tier 2 dependant status, and will constitute a new application. Is this will stop the IDL 5 years period.

2. Can I apply within the country?

3.- I will need to comply with all the requirements of the HO: https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/knowledge-of-english

4.- Which band salary I will need to prove, the first entry applicant or the experience?

Best and many thanks for any information,

Gaby

1. Yes, a new application and a new start to the 5 year residence requirement for ILR.

2. No, from your home country only.

3. Yes, including maintenance funds.

4. How old are you? Most likely experience rate and I think the minimum salary has been increased to £30K earlier this year for new applicants. Your proposed sponsor will also have to pay the skill surcharge and YOU will have to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge in addition to the visa fee.

Hopefully your proposed sponsor has completed the full and proper RLMT process to prove to HO that no British/EU citizen or ILR person is suitable for the job.

Dear CR001,
Thanks for the information! I am between 30 and 32, is my age will determine my experience rate ?
Best,

You are over 26 so experienced rate will likely apply.

The salary will also be dictated by your SOC.

Ok, thanks

So is must likely than in order to secure a Tier 2 sponsors at least I need to learn from the range of £ 32,000 to £35,000.

In which official document it says that if I am over 26 I qualified as experience salary.

As a tier 2 dependant, this will be my application as the main applicant, so just need to be clear about that.

Best and thanks for your help,

Yes, I can read that you are a dependent changing to main visa holder, no need to repeat it.

OK many thanks for your reply, kindly appreciated.

Just a quick question to have everything in context, where it says that if you are over 26 years old you are considered as an experienced worker.

Can someone kindly tell in which HO document I can find this information.

With kind regards,
