HELP Posting IRL SET (O) Application via DHL (UK)

So 4 of my family members are on the old 6 year continuous stay in the UK rule.

Can we send the 4 applications via DHL uk service to the Home office?

(It is 4 big folders that are in a parcel)

Yes, or you can apply in person, or post it special delivery. The guidance notes gives you the details.

Applications made on this form as a Tier 1 or Tier 2 migrant may be delivered by courier to the
following address between 9.00am and 5.00pm on Monday - Friday (excluding public holidays).

Due to my family not being on a Tier we didn't think we could.


We put this address down for DHL to send it to instead:

Have we done right?

A courier cannot deliver to a PO Box.

Why not post them special delivery??

We wanted to do special delivery via Royal Mail/Post office, but all the big parcel boxes had sold out so we had to rush around and look for an alternative (The last date is this Friday). We came across Rymans Stationer and they said we could send it via DHL.

And when we put in the address with the Home Office PO Box, it all went through.


It will be sent tomorrow at 2pm, do you think we should get it back in the morning and send the whole box/parcel through royal mail to be on the safe side?

Note that DHL advise the following:
"Although DHL Express cannot deliver to PO, APO, or FPO box address you may request the shipment to be held for pickup. The receiver will then be able to pickup the shipment at the local DHL Express station"

The HO staff won't pickup from a DHL station.

Hi. **UPDATE**

I just wanted to return to firstly say thank you very much for the advice given, it has helped my family a lot. I was able to reach the DHL office, in time before they had sent off the package and instead got it delivered through Royal mail before our expired date.

Just one more thing though. my sister in law and brother in law need a confirmation letter or reference number from the HO that they can give their employers. Do we need to contact them directly for that or do they contact us with that said information? (The employers are getting funny with them)
