Thanks new2here for your reply.new2here wrote:I can't answer your questions, but if I were you, I'd want the company to get that sorted out.
The information says 31,100 not 31,000 so I don't think you/the company should be cutting this so close.
"Minimum appropriate salary rate
New entrant: £24,000, Experienced worker: £31,100" https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... r_2015.pdf (for those who may be wondering)
But maybe someone else can share their experience.
Suggest post links correctly. What you have posted is not a clickable link. Also, if you have your own questions on Tier 2 General, please start your own topic instead of tagging onto another members topic trying to get a responding member's attention.new2here wrote:*Moderator feel free to move* It is not my intention to hijack the thread but I wanted Imumtaz to see this, as I look forward to his/her response.
@Imumtaz, do you know if the info. from https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... illed-work overrides the one in the actual PDF document***?
Also, I noted that the title of the link you shared was "Immigration Rules Appendix J: codes of practice for skilled work" and it did not explicitly say "skill shortage occupation list".
As an eg., I see that "2315 Primary and nursery education teaching professionals" is listed on the "Immigration Rules Appendix J: codes of practice for skilled work", however it is not listed on the SOC:
here ***https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... ation-list and ***
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... pril14.pdf
ie. Only secondary school teachers of Maths, Chemistry, and Physics are on the SOC. Primary school teachers are not on the SOC (but primary school teachers are on the "Immigration Rules Appendix J: codes of practice for skilled work").
Huh?
The PDF you posted is from November 2015. Newest version of Appendix J can be found at the link I posted above.new2here wrote:*Moderator feel free to move* It is not my intention to hijack the thread but I wanted Imumtaz to see this, as I look forward to his/her response.
