UK visa extension question

I am from America on a visiting visa which was for six months that expires July 14th. I want to stay here with

my partner. He is a British citizen We have been saving up for extending my visa. Is it worth extending the visa

or Is it worth traveling the EU for a couple months on a holiday and coming back to the UK on another travel visa ?

You clearly are not a genuine visitor but using a visitor visa to reside in the UK.

Why not get married and apply for a settlement visa, doing it properly?

You cannot be spending more time in the UK in a 12 month period than you spend in your home country.

In addition to CR001's advice and question above, exactly what ' visa extension' has your partner been saving up for You are unable to extend a visitor visa (in your circumstances) or switch to any other category of visa from within the UK.
