Tier 2G Resignation

Post by mansoorash » Thu Jun 29, 2017 8:33 pm

Hello everyone,

After having worked for seven long years for my company, I have finally handed in my resignation yesterday. I earn £35k and I could have become eligible in August for ILR but I am totally burnt out and cannot stand the job/boss anymore.

My notice period is six months. And if I don't lose my sanity by December, I will become eligible for ILR under 10 years residency on 1st of December.

In terms of notifying Home Office, will that need to be done on my last day at work i.e. 27th of December or do we need to notify them now?

Because surely, if Home Office is notified now then the curtailment letter will be issued and I will not be able to complete my notice period? And miss my ILR under long residency by three months!

Many thanks
